Approximately 32 miles north of Atlanta, is Milton, one of Georgia's newest cities. Though Milton has long been thought of as an unincorporated part of Alpharetta and Roswell, it is distinctly its own suburb. As a highly affluent city, Milton is full of beautiful homes and recreational activities for residents to enjoy.

Milton received its cityhood in 2006, after years of being referred to as part of neighboring cities, Alpharetta and Roswell. While the city is still clarifying its identity, streets and establishments that were once thought of as Alpharetta are now considered Milton.

Milton offers a small-town feel with easy access to amenities in nearby cities. In 2011, it was recognized for its quality of life in the state of Georgia by being named the ninth-highest in the southern U.S. by On Numbers' quality-of-life standings.

Milton is considered to be part of the Atlanta metro area. It is approximately 45 minutes north of downtown Atlanta and south of the North Georgia Mountains. Surrounded by rolling hills and a beautiful, rural landscape, Milton is a serene escape from the city.
